The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, is in Ancona to participate in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Italy, Croatia and Slovenia dedicated to cooperation in the Upper Adriatic, which will see the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.
At the heart of the agenda of the Ancona meeting is cooperation on migration and how to further strengthen it. Issues related to connectivity, the economy of the sea, environmental protection and internal security will also be addressed with the aim of promoting the Upper Adriatic as an integrated development pole, with high innovation and sustainability, relaunching the role of this area as a strategic link between international markets.
The works foresee a plenary session at the end of which the signing of a joint declaration is foreseen, which will be followed approximately at 12.00 by a joint press conference of the three Ministers at the Orfeo Tamburi Auditorium. At the end of the trilateral meeting, the works will continue in the nearby town of Numana, with a working meeting in which the Austrian Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg, will participate as a special guest. The four-party meeting will focus on current international issues and the European agenda.
