“Taiwanese and Chinese companies dominate Choose France Summit investments: 13 billion euros total”

Established by President Macron five years ago, the Choose France Summit is one of the flagship events of the Élysée Palace’s strategy to attract international investment in order to “support growth, innovation and employment”.

• Of the 13 billion euros in investments, 52.60% were announced by Taiwanese companies (Prologium with 5.2 billion, battery giant) or Chinese (XTC, with 1.5 billion, still in the batteries), followed by European companies (43.47%).
• The United States represents only 3.93% of the announced total. With 500 million, Pfizer remains the main investor in health.

Among the European partners, Italy is the most present with Newcleo (3 billion), IVECO (115 million) Turin manufacturer of industrial vehicles and buses, Prysmian (66 million) Milanese company specializing in energy and telecommunications cables .
