Taiwan stocks open higher but fall: TSMC and MediaTek show decline

Taiwan stocks opened higher and lowered today (8), reaching a low of 16812.59 points at one point and closing at 16877.07 points, down 118.93 points, or 0.69%, with a trading volume of 373.459 billion yuan.
