The details are 4,047 kg of Mie Sedaap cup noodles from Indonesia and 327 kg of Lucky Me cup noodles from the Philippines. Both are imported by Taiwan’s Elom Group.
Mie Sedaap itself is one of Wings Food’s products.
Meanwhile, Marketing Manager of Noodle Category Wings Food Katria Arintya Anindyantari denied that Mie Sedaap contained pesticide residues. According to him, the Mie Sedaap product was detained by the Taiwanese party because there were differences in regulations.
“Mie Sedaap products do not contain pesticide residues. The detention of Mie Sedaap in Taiwan has nothing to do with this. The detention of products that occur is due to differences in regulations applied by local regulators,” said Arintya to CNNIndonesia.com.
So far, he said, Mie Sedaap has obtained a food permit from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency, a halal certificate from the MUI, an ISO 22000 certificate regarding international food safety management standards, and ISO 9001 certification regarding international quality management system standards.
“This shows that Mie Sedaap was developed with production standards and strict supervision, and meets food safety standards throughout the supply chain, so Mie Sedaap products are safe for consumption for the wider community,” he concluded.
