Taiwan army fires at Chinese drones

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s military has fired at Chinese drones.

“Between 6pm and 8pm local time on August 31, three civilian drones were detected on approach to the Dadan, Caoyu and Lei Islands,” said Zhang Zhongshun, a military spokesman, in a statement cited by BGNES.

The Taiwanese military said it fired warning shots with live bullets and rockets, after which the drones quickly withdrew to the city of Xiamen, located in the Chinese coastal province of Fujian.
