[Reporter Cai Sipei/Taipei Report]Taipei City Councilor Lin Liangjun once ran for election as a member of the Power of the Times Party. After quitting the party, he was re-elected as a member without party membership. Lin said today that he agrees with the democratic alliance strategy proposed by Vice President Lai Qingde, as well as cross-generational and cross-field cooperation, and has applied to join the Democratic Progressive Party. The person who recommended the party is Lai Qingde.

Lin Liangjun said that she agreed with the democratic grand alliance strategy proposed by Vice President Lai Qingde, uniting and cooperating across generations and fields, and was inspired by Lai’s steady and pragmatic national vision. Encouraged by Wu Zheng, the Democratic Progressive Party’s New Taipei City Zhonghe District Legislative Candidate, Lin officially completed his application to join the Democratic Progressive Party this afternoon.

Lin Liangjun also announced that she will accompany Wu Zheng to sweep the streets tomorrow at Jingxin Market in New Taipei City to pray for votes. This is the first time that she will appear to build momentum for candidates from the same party. Kaohsiung City Councilor Huang Jie will also join the Democratic Progressive Party this year. I will also support Wu Zheng.

Lin Liangjun participated in the Sunflower Student Movement and served as a special assistant in the parliamentary office of legislator Lin Changzuo. In January 2018, she ran for Taipei City Council on behalf of the Power of the Times and was elected; in 2019, she believed that the sustainable development of the political party was a question mark in her heart, and Shili Unable to respond to her questions and suggestions, he announced his resignation from the party. After Lin quit the party, then Times Power North City Councilors Lin Yingmeng and Huang Yufen also announced their resignation from the party in 2020.
