The sites’ purchasing policies take into account the origin, materials and environmental impact of the products while promoting short circuits and local producers. The environmental impact is taken into account for each new project in order to promote eco-design.
In terms of waste management, the labeled sites set themselves objectives for minimizing packaging, reusing, sorting and recovering waste. The sites are committed to a policy of optimizing water and energy resources. La Cité du chocolat becomes the first site in Rhône-Alpes to be labeled in this way.
