The Cuban reggaeton singer José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar, better known as ‘El Taiger’, was arrested by the Miami-Dade police during the early hours of this Friday, April 19.
According to the urban singer’s police file, available on the county police department website, Carvajal was arrested for driving under the influence (DIU).
The Habla Matador interpreter was drugged and alcoholic, in possession of controlled substances, and had an open bottle of alcohol, which he was probably drinking from, next to him while driving.
The reggaeton singer is thus accused of “possession of substances” and alcohol, which warrants a fine of just $2,500, according to his arrest record.
The above, in addition to a fine of $150 for carrying the open bottle next to the driver’s seat, although at the moment there is no additional fine for drunk driving.
Despite the recklessness of the reggaeton singer’s actions, which put other drivers and pedestrians at risk and could even lead to the death of some of them, he could be released in the next few hours, since fines have never been a problem for him.
At the moment, neither the singer nor his partner, the Cuban Suilen Díaz, have spoken on social networks about his arrest, although it was only a few weeks ago. The singer admitted to having addiction problems and not wanting to change.
The arrest comes shortly after El Taiger announced his engagement to Díaz, with whom he had only been in a relationship for 6 months, but with whom he plans to marry soon.
This is not the first time that El Taiger has fallen before American justice for his excesses in the consumption of licit or illicit substances. Last March, His arrest, drunk and in possession of cocaine, led to rumors that he had been deported to Cuba.where he remained for almost half a year after his arrest.
Upon returning to the US, The first thing the reggaeton singer did was get drunk and be arrested for stealing from a store.a fact that he later denied and claimed not to remember, because he was drunk.
