TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi gave his response regarding the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo who have not returned from abroad even though according to schedule they have arrived in their homeland. Currently, Syahrul is involved in a case of alleged gratification at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Jokowi asked the public to wait for developments.

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched Syahrul Yasin Limpo’s official residence in Kebayoran Baru on Thursday evening, 28 September 2023. Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Silmy Karim, said that Syahrul Yasin Limpo’s last whereabouts in Rome, Italy, were monitored from data on crossings and cooperation between countries. The flow of ministerial departures began on September 24. He left Indonesia from Soekarno Hatta Airport for Rome. Then he is scheduled to return on September 30 and arrive in Indonesia on October 1.
