Paris-A poignant father-son dynamic unfolds⁢ onstage at the Théâtre Montparnasse, as actor Pierre⁢ Arditi portrays a celebrated performer confronting mortality and⁢ seeking too⁢ dictate his memoirs to a long-estranged, struggling writer son. Alexis Macquart’s play, “I will ‍remember almost everything,” directed by Julien ⁢Boisselier, offers ⁤a raw‍ exploration of familial ‌resentment, regret, and the anxieties of fading legacy, running through December 21st.

The production arrives as a particularly resonant tribute to Arditi, 74,‌ who faced health challenges last year that prompted him to cancel performances. The play’s central question ‌- “Will I be remembered ⁢when I’m gone?” – echoes the actor’s own concerns, amplified by his recent vulnerability.”I will remember almost everything” delves ⁤into the complex relationship between a successful but self-absorbed father and‌ a son burdened by unfulfilled potential, using the act ⁣of memoir-writing as a ‌catalyst to exhume decades of unspoken grievances and carefully constructed narratives. Alongside Miguel Vander Linden and Nicolas briançon, Arditi delivers a compelling performance, though critics note a somewhat protracted conclusion.
