“A Second Chair” Film Screening Celebrates Lebanese Creativity
[City, Date] – The Association Theater hosted a screening of the short film “A Second chair” last night, sponsored by the Cultural Association and organized by Manarat Al Fan. The film, written by and starring Beiruti and directed by Hoda Abu Fadel, with preparation and association by artist Ibrahim Tawoukji, explores contemporary social and humanitarian issues through a compelling narrative blending reality and symbolism. Distinguished guests included Abdel Rahman Al-Shami (representing the Head of the Syndicate of theater, Cinema and Radio Actors in North Lebanon), journalist Dr. Ramez al-Fari (President of the Cultural Association), Khaled Al-Hajjah (representing the President of the Syndicate of Theater, Radio and Television Actors in Lebanon), acclaimed artists Rafqa al-Zeer and Najah Saliba, Wahba Al-Dhaibi (representing Al-Wefaq Cultural Society), alongside actors, artists, and media professionals.
The evening was hosted by media personality Radina burhan and featured a captivating oud performance by artist lucas Saliba.
A representative from the Syndicate of Theater, Cinema, radio and Television Actors in Lebanon, Nima Badawi, delivered a congratulatory speech praising Beiruti’s film as a testament to the spirit of creativity and artistic commitment within lebanese cinema.Badawi highlighted the film’s ability to address profound humanitarian issues with depth and sincerity, emphasizing its powerful message of silence as a force against societal noise. He urged audiences to support and appreciate authentic local art.
Muhammad Beiruti concluded the event by expressing his gratitude to the Artists Syndicate and the audience for their support. The evening culminated in a commemorative photo session.
