Neonates born to women with epilepsy had an increased risk of negative outcomes such as neonatal and infant death and congenital conditions. Women with epilepsy taking ASM polytherapy had increased odds of cesarean delivery, and neonates had a higher risk of NICU admission, SGA, and congenital conditions. Clinicians should consider these findings when counseling pregnant women with epilepsy.
