Reproductive Health Campaign Reaches Over 4,600 Women in Ismailia
Ismailia, Egypt – A two-week reproductive health activation campaign concluded September 18th, 2025, reaching 4,623 women across Ismailia Governorate, according to Dr. Reem Mustafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Ismailia. The campaign, titled “The Golden Alpha Journey… begins wiht a step,” offered free reproductive health services through a combination of fixed clinics and mobile units.
The initiative,spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Population,aimed to improve family health and progress throughout the region. During the first week, services were provided in Ismailia city, Abu Suwair, Al-Qassasin, and the Great Hill, benefiting 2,936 women with family planning services. The second week focused on Fayed, Qantarah West, and Qantara East, reaching an additional 1,687 beneficiaries.
Beyond providing access to family planning methods, the campaign included awareness seminars designed to educate the community about maternal and child health, and to dispel misinformation surrounding family planning. Details on general health and well-being was also provided.
Dr. Iman Al-Hamaki, Director of the Family Planning Department in Ismailia, reported a strong response from women. Services provided during the campaign included family planning methods for 4,062 women, screenings for 424 women, follow-up care for 25 pregnancies, and 146 ultrasound examinations. A total of 4,574 individuals received health advice and information throughout the two-week period.
