I was a little surprised when I received the press release on the TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4. Is it really seven years ago Day, this year released the first Connected smartwatch, I thought. But then I realized that I had tested it myself after all. At the time, I thought it was big, expensive, and slow. Too big for most wrists, and over twice as expensive as an Apple Watch.
The previous and third generation, I tested in 202o, and then it had finally become fast, brighter and far more usable. But still difficult – and expensive.
TAG Heuer Connected Watch
TAG Heuer’s first smartwatch is not suitable for everyone, but shamelessly flirts with the most discerning users out there.

TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4
The new, fourth generation, has become much slimmer in expression, and comes in two sizes. 42 and 45mm diameter, as shown in the picture above. Both have a stainless steel case with the new Caliber E4 module which contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100+ processor, and the 45mm version has a ceramic bezel ring with minute markings.
The watches have been given several sensors and now measure altitude. The sports app has been updated with several functions, including a kind of PT that guides you through the training sessions, which you can choose from an even larger selection than before.
You can also tailor your own sessions, which are stored and retrieved from the touch screen and the electronic crown, whenever you want.
The new Connected watches come with Wear OS 2 installed, and you can upgrade to Wear OS 3 for free, when it is ready for download.
The larger 45mm version can also be delivered in black coated with a DLC coating, and has finally got a top 30% better battery life. Compared to its predecessor.
