Group Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon posted a post that seemed to be aimed at the dispute over the management rights of her agency SM Entertainment.
On the 16th, Taeyeon shared a scene from the movie ‘Unfair Transaction’ without any explanation on her SNS.
In the video, actor Ryu Seung-beom sarcastically said, “Everyone lives hard, everyone lives hard.” Accordingly, netizens are guessing that Taeyeon indirectly criticized the agency’s management rights dispute.
Previously, group SHINee’s Key also recently mentioned the internal situation during a live broadcast commemorating the release of their 2nd repackage album, “Killker,” saying, “I want to hold a concert too, but where should I say it? The company is in trouble.”
The management rights dispute surrounding SM Entertainment has recently turned into a mud fight. On the 3rd, Lee Sung-soo and Tak Young-joon, co-CEOs of SM, announced ‘SM 3.0’, an innovation plan that excludes former SM general producer Lee Soo-man, and passed over 9.08% of the shares to Kakao through a third-party allocation paid-in capital increase.
The former executive producer protested against this and sold a 14.8% stake in Hive. Hive, which acquired Lee Soo-man’s stake, became the largest shareholder in SM and announced that it would increase its total stake to 39.8% through a tender offer of 120,000 won per share.
