The amateur sports club Taekwondo Brixen Bressanone shone at the third edition of the international event. The third edition of the Euregio Open, an Olympic taekwondo tournament, was concluded with great success in the Olympic Village in Innsbruck.

The event, which has now become a staple event for Taekwondo enthusiasts, attracted more than 350 participants in the fighting and 100 in the forms competition, coming from Estonia, Romania, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Morocco and Austria. The high technical level and the diversity of the nations represented made the competition particularly exciting. The tournament took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere, with a large audience that loudly supported the athletes, including many participants from South Tyrol, confirming the growth of Taekwondo in the region. The different categories offered exciting moments with intense fights and high-level techniques that impressed the audience and the jury.
The amateur sports club Taekwondo Brixen Bressanone was distinguished by the outstanding performances of its athletes and won a total of 4 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals. This impressive result is the result of careful preparation and exemplary commitment from the young fighters who have cemented their name on the international scene. Main protagonist of Serie A (black and red belt): Laura Fürler won gold in the Senior F +67 category by winning in the final against the feared athlete of the Swiss national team, demonstrating her technical and tactical superiority as well as her enormous endurance
Senn also wins gold
Leonie Senn, also gold in the Cadetti F -59 category, clearly defeated all her opponents, which underlined her constant sporting preparation and determination. Ilaria Russo Cadetti F -55 easily passed the quarterfinals and won the semifinals with determination and combat with a technical knockout against a Romanian athlete. In the final she was stopped by the Swiss athlete, but secured a well-deserved silver medal.
Iolando Iuliano Olaru took silver in the Junior M -73 category, while Mohamed Reda Arbouche won bronze in the Cadetti M -45 category. Series B results (yellow, green and blue belts): Daniel Luca Olaru Bambini M -33 and Giulio Di Marco Cadetti M -45 won gold in their respective categories. Maksim Bozhinoski took silver in the Cadetti M -61 category. Bronze went to Kacper Bubel Esordienti M -40, Maximilian Rienzner Esordienti M -40, Pauline Kerschbaumer Esordienti F -33, Carolina Culcsar Cadetti F -51, Patrik Skolka Cadetti M -33 and Samuel Scarcelli Esordienti M -45.

Coach Alessandro Carbucicchio, who led the team during the tournament, was extremely satisfied: “All the athletes worked hard, even during the summer, and the results achieved are proof of their commitment and discipline. Taekwondo requires dedication and the boys have shown that they have all the necessary qualities.”The Euregio Open in Innsbruck remains an important platform for Olympic Taekwondo in Europe and offers the opportunity to discover new talent and demonstrate the core values of this discipline such as team spirit and to promote mutual respect. The amateur sports club Taekwondo Brixen Bressanone is now preparing for the coming sporting challenges with great motivation and increased self-confidence from its recent successes.
