Libreville, July 6, 2023 (AGP). The 29 Gabonese taekwondoists pre-selected for the African Championship (August 26-27) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, begin preparation for this event this Thursday in Libreville.
Gabon’s preparation for the African championship begins this Thursday at Club Elite Academy by making contact. This pre-list is made up of eleven (11) women and eighteen (18) men. We find in it all the striking faces of the discipline in the country such as; Anthony Obame, Urgence Mouega, Leonce Nzime, Severin Obame, Amar Cissé and Teddy Opoya.
Of the twenty-nine (29) shortlisted athletes, thirteen (13) will be selected to take part in the competition. The Panthers of Gabon will be keen to recover after their unsuccessful stay in Baku, Azerbaijan during the world championships in the discipline.
