Libreville, November 5, 2023 (AGP) – Emmanuella Atora obtained the bronze medal, after her defeat in the semi-final in the (-57 kg) category and saves face from a nightmarish first day for Gabon, marked, among others, by the elimination of Anthony Obame, in the quarter-finals.
The taekwondo player playing in the country was the only satisfaction of this first day of competition on the Gabonese side. Emmanuella Atora, in fact, won a bronze medal, after her lost duel in the semi-finals.
This Sunday was also the only clearing of a day marked, among others, by the eliminations of Anthony Obame, Teddy Opoya, Amar Cisse and Léonce Ndzime in the quarter-finals.
Emergency Mouega, one of Gabon’s medal chances, enters the competition this Monday.
