The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD) annulled the ban on a game imposed by the Disciplinary Council (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) on Sporting, following a participation by the National Association of Football Coaches (ANTF), in March 2020, where, among other arguments, alleged fraud was pointed out in the contracts signed between Rúben Amorim and SAD (only the III level was involved). In July he was soon acquitted, this single point being appealed. Remembering the process, you can consult on here ANTF’s arguments, presented in March and which then opened up steps to understand the extent to which Sporting should be punished: on July 1st, the decision of the CD came out, immediately leaving aside the possibility of the coach of the Greens and whites can be away from work for a period of 1 to 6 years. Nevertheless, the FPF body went ahead with the interdiction game at José Alvalade, with an accessory fine of almost 10 thousand euros (9,563), which immediately motivated Sporting’s resource for TAD, which has now absolved the lions. The FPF is also charged with procedural costs, above 30 thousand euros.
