The former Juventus goalkeeper reveals a background story linked to the period in which he was still recovering from a brain aneurysm.
It was April 23, 2022 when the life of Stefano Tacconi came to an abrupt, dramatic and unexpected stop. The sudden illness when rushing to the hospital with his son Andrea very ready to understand the seriousness of the problem, the hospitalization and the terrible diagnosis: cerebral aneurysm.
From there began a long ordeal, a mountain to climb with bare hands, an obstacle course that the former Juventus goalkeeper he managed, despite a thousand difficulties, to complete it from start to finish.
Today, two and a half years after his brush with death, Tacconi came back to lifeheld by the love of his family and most sincere friends. After twenty-four months of exhausting physiotherapy he fully regained his cerebral faculties and the memory of those moments is still very vivid.
To put together all the pieces of this long journey, Tacconi wanted to write a book that contained every detail of these last thirty months. “The art of blocking” is the detailed story of his drama, fortunately with a happy ending.

In presenting the book, the former Umbrian goalkeeper immediately resorted to football hyperbole: “I would have preferred to find myself in goal with Maradona in front and 80,000 Neapolitans who call me a cuckold, and lose again, rather than collapse as happened in April 2022.
