Microsoft has accelerated the development of Windows 11 and brought some long-awaited innovations to its system. A specific case are the separators, which we can use in the file explorer.
This novelty promises to completely change Microsoft’s system and the company wants to go even further. It will expand the presence of tabs in Windows 11 and has already chosen the next app to receive this evolution.
Windows 11 will have more tabs in Notepad
The idea of having tabs on Microsoft's system isn't new. Even before Windows 11 it was tested, although later abandoned. Now everything has changed and the latest version finally brings this novelty to everyone.
More than just tabs, Microsoft has given the ability to move files between them, making it even more useful and practical. There is still some work to be done, but the basic idea is there and ready to be used.
Naturally, the idea will be to extend this to more areas where it makes sense, giving Windows 11 the necessary tools. The next to have access to this improvement has been chosen and is well known: Notepad.
Microsoft will bring this news to everyone soon
A first image of what will be the new Notepad was posted online by a Microsoft employee. There you can see a warning that prevents image capture and the degree of secrecy of this novelty.
You can also see 2 tabs, where different text files are located. These are housed at the top of the Notepad window and look very similar to the ones we already have in Windows 11's File Explorer.
Microsoft's internal developments of this novelty are expected to be ongoing and on track, as can be seen in the shared image. Thus, and as usual, we will soon be able to see the new tabs in Notepad in a build of the Insider program of Windows 11.
