Luis Figueroa Trejo, president of the Hidalgo Table Tennis Association (AHTM), shared that for two weeks the AHTM has had the support of coach Yosvany Peña, “he is a Cuban coach who worked in Peru, we already spoke with authorities from the Institute Hidalguense del Deporte to see the possibility of supporting us in integrating him into the organization’s staff and working in shape.
The above, remembering that in previous interviews, Luis has commented that the coaches that the AHTM has are no longer enough to be able to serve the team of this sport in a better way, reiterating that also increasing the level of the team, It is a priority that we have.
“We also intend to put him in private schools to expand the possibilities of increasing the staff of the state team, but, due to the current dates, there is no time to start with a proper job in the institutions.
On the other hand, Figueroa Trejo commented that they will close the year with more activity, among them, this weekend Hidalgo will have a presence in the Kanoa Cup that will be held in CDMX.
Added to this is the First Force National that will be held in Mérida, Yucatán, in the first week of December, a competition that will also host the sub 19 selectives where Ximena Figueroa, sub 15m sub 13 and sub 11 will participate.
With this activity, the AHTM would be officially closing the year to wait for the dates of the macro regionals for the Conade 2025 National Games.
To this end, Luis Figueroa commented, the AHTM holds an internal competition once a month which they call Ranking, in which the participants are positioned in an internal ranking to maintain, in a certain way, control over the level of each tennis player. .
Children’s Categories
On another topic, the president of the AHTM recalled the importance of working with children’s categories by highlighting that they are the basis of future state and national teams.
For this reason, it extends the invitation to boys and girls between 7 and 11 years old to come and learn about this sport, which is practiced in the facilities of the Hidalguense High Performance Sports Center (CDHAR), where reports can be requested. about it or through the AHTM social networks.
