Anyone who enjoyed watching table tennis at the Olympic Games in Paris, whether on site, on television or live stream, will love the WTT Champions Frankfurt from November 3rd to 10th. The field of participants in the elite tournament of the best 32 men and 32 women in the world for prize money of half a million US dollars is full of Olympic champions, world champions and the best from every continent.
Germany’s aces are represented by five men and three women, including the two Hessians, Fulda’s World Cup winner Dimitrij Ovtcharov and the six-time European champion from the Odenwald, Patrick Franziska, as well as the 18-year-old shooting star Annett Kaufmann, who is in Paris Sensationally led the table tennis women to the semi-finals.

The professional athletes shoot the 40 millimeter small white plastic balls around their ears at up to 150 kilometers per hour and 10,000 revolutions per minute. The event not only offers the fastest racquet game at a world-class level and on just one center court, where the spectators sit very close. Table tennis becomes a big movie at the WTT Champions Frankfurt, combined with an elaborate light show, a DJ, show dance groups and other acts that create a great atmosphere during the short breaks.
Spellbound silence around the table was a thing of the past; now the spectators from all parts of the world, whether from Germany, China, Japan or the USA, celebrate every actor and the best rallies loudly and sometimes with standing ovations. As with the premiere last year, the games at the table will be breathtaking again this time, but not just a show, after all, in addition to the high prize money, it’s all about 1,000 world ranking points for the winner and qualification for the prestigious WTT Finals in Japan at the end of November .

Major table tennis events in Germany are always a place for the audience to take part and try things out. This time the supporting program includes virtual reality table tennis, measuring ball speed and spin, games at the outdoor table as well as a school day and a family tournament.
