The double match day started with a 2:8 against TTC Mülheim-Urmitz II. “We were a bit disappointed that we both lost doubles,” said Anika Links from Pirmasens. In singles she lost a 2:1 lead against Ilsa Krebs from Mülheim. Her teammate Jona Schroeder beat Krebs in four sets, but lost 7:11 against Melodye Blanchet in the fifth set.
The next day they lost 3:7 against SV Windhagen, now leaders of the table. Pirmasens had won both opening doubles (Anika/Links/Bettina Schmidt and Jona Schröder/Luisa Baumann). After that, however, the singles should end almost exclusively in favor of the guests. Only Luisa Baumann managed to defeat Mülheim’s Julia Schuh in five sets. Anika Links, Bettina Schmidt and Luisa Baumann conceded three five-set defeats.
Despite the two defeats, Pirmasens is still at least on the relegation rank with 7:17 points, but is only one point ahead of TSG Kaiserslautern II (6:16) and 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT II (6:20) .
