The Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre N’Gou Dimba advocated love, friendship and fraternity and above all urged the Muslim community to donate blood.
It was on the occasion of the celebration of the Tabaski festival this Saturday July 9, 2022, at the great mosque of Agboville, in the presence of the prefect of the region, prefect of the department of Agboville, Coulibaly Sihindou and an audience. of Muslim devotees.
“Dear brothers and sisters, dear guests, I take advantage of this great religious ceremony to draw your attention to the shortage of blood bags in hospitals. Indeed, blood is a vital element, a rare and precious commodity whose defect costs the lives of many patients. Consequently, dear brothers and sisters, the State of Côte d’Ivoire through the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS) regularly offers blood donation operations. And this, in order to meet the demand which amounts to 200,000 blood bags per year,” said
In addition, the Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre Dimba welcomed the climate of peace in Agnéby-Tiassa. “I would like in my name, in the name of my brother Adama Bictogo and in the name of all the elected officials and executives of the region, to say thank you for your support through your many prayers. Happy Tabaski Day to each and everyone and may the Lord continue to assist us so that love, friendship and fraternity are strengthened in Agnéby-Tiassa”, wished the President of the Regional Council of Agnéby -Tiassa. Before adding: “I thank the committee of the great mosque, which has organized two blood donation operations this year. And, I encourage you to continue to do so in order to save lives.”
The Imam of the great mosque also invited his co-religionists to donate blood according to the medical provisions in this area. “Dear Muslims, members of the great community of believers, I appeal to everyone to go to all blood collection centers to offer blood as a donation. This, to save human lives and preserve the health of the population…Blood outside the human body can only be kept between 35 and 42 days at most. This is why we must give our blood regularly,” said Imam Diarra Ibrahim Khalilou.
And to conclude: “The blood donor has the merit of being a child of God. He receives purification from his blood at every opportunity. The blood donor is given priority in the event of shortage and finally he can protect himself from possible diseases through the analysis of his blood. In short, giving blood to others is a morally, physically and religiously noble and praiseworthy act.
