“Tabasco Producers to Receive 70,000 Vaccines to Prevent Paralytic Bovine Rabies”

The president of the Tabasco Regional Livestock Union (UGRT) Adán Merodio Hernández, reported that with federal resources, the state government will support Tabasco producers with 70,000 vaccines to prevent paralytic bovine rabies.

On the subject, he considered that the figure is insufficient, taking into account that the cattle herd in Tabasco is one and a half million cattle, although he stressed that the cost of the vaccine for each livestock does not exceed 10 pesos.

He also commented that among the municipalities that have reported cases of bovine paralytic rabies are Centla, Jalpa de Méndez, Jalapa and Cunduacán, for which reason he reiterated the urge producers to vaccinate their cattle every year.

Merodio Hernández added that it is urgent that vaccine support arrives, to protect the Tabasco cattle herd.
