Tabasco, Mexico: There will be prison terms for illegal Uber drivers

The secretary of Semovi (Ministry of Mobility) of Tabasco, Narciso Oropeza, warned those who provide public transport services through Uber, DIDI, Beat, taxis, motorcycles, motorcycles and others, without being authorized, that they can be imprisoned for two to six years.

In its social networks, the agency, headed since last Monday by Narciso Oropeza, indicated that the improper provision of public service constitutes a crime sanctioned by the State Penal Code.

The document indicates that by instructions of the secretary such provisions were communicated to the persons dedicated to providing such services.

The previous head of Semovi, Egla Cornelio, pointed out that in Villahermosa transport pirates are spreading and that there will be controls to detect them.
