New Delhi: Leading theater chain INOX Leisure Ltd is ready to screen all India matches live in cinemas during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup starting this month in Australia. Inox stated in a statement that it has signed an agreement with the ICC in this regard.
INOX will review all group matches played by Team India, starting with the first match against Pakistan on 23 October. “Together we are bringing the thrill of the giant screen experience and thunderous sound to the audience by screening cricket in theaters. We will convey the thrill and excitement of the World Cup through this. It will be a virtual delight for cricket lovers.” said Anand Vishal, Chief Operating Officer, Inox Leisure.
INOX will screen the group stage matches, semifinals and finals of India’s first match against Pakistan in its halls on 23 October. The match will be televised live at INOX multiplexes in 25 cities across the country.
With 165 multiplexes and 705 screens in 74 cities, Inox has a total capacity of 1.57 lakh screens across India. Inox and PVR announced a merger in March this year to create the largest multiplex chain in the country.
