Mumbai: The Indian squad for the T20 series against England has been announced and Sanju Samson, who played in the T20 series against Australia, has been dropped from the T20 squad. Instead, Rishabh Pant, who has excelled in the Test team, has joined the T20 squad. Though it was reported that Rohit will rest Kohli in the T20 series, Virat Kohli will lead India in the T20 series as well. Suryakumar Yadav, who shone in the last IPL, has been named in India’s T20 squad for the first time.
Ishant Kishan, a young wicketkeeper-batsman who excelled in the last IPL and today’s Vijay Hazare Trophy, has also been named in India’s T20 squad. Another newcomer to the team is Rahul Tiwatiya, who made a stellar performance for the Rajasthan Royals in the last IPL.

While T Natarajan was retained in the team, Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to the team after a long hiatus. The T20 squad also includes Varun Chakraborty, who was named in the squad for the series against Australia and was later ruled out due to injury. There are five matches in the T20 series against England. Ahmedabad is the venue for all the matches.
