T-Mobile will ‘soon’ sell 4G version of Apple Watch – Tablets and phones – News

T-Mobile announces that it will offer the 4G versions of the new Apple Watch smartwatches. A date and price have not yet been announced. Almost a month ago, KPN announced that it would support the Cellular version of the smartwatch.

The arrival of the Cellular versions of the Apple Watch T-Mobile announces on Twitter. Additional details about the 4G version are not yet given. The Cellular version includes an eSIM so that users can, for example, get mobile internet on their smartwatch, without having to have a connected phone nearby.

T-Mobile has supported eSIM for some time, but did not support the Cellular version of the smartwatch before. The 4G versions are linked to a smartphone’s mobile subscription in other countries, with the two devices sharing the same phone number. It is likely that this will also work in the Netherlands.

KPN made in mid-September as the first Dutch provider known to support the smartwatch. Vodafone said at the time that it did not want to offer eSIM on the Apple Watch for the time being. Apple announced the Watch Series 7 on September 14; the WiFi models will be available from next Friday. This model costs 429 euros. Pricing and availability of the 4G models have not yet been announced.
