T-Mobile Thuis has internet outage for the second day in a row, impact is smaller – IT Pro – News

T-Mobile Home customers are experiencing a breakdown with their fixed internet for the second day in a row. Tuesday’s outage is smaller than Monday’s. Tweakers, CoronaCheck and Twitch, among others, are difficult to reach due to the malfunction.

Subscribers say among others on GoT been affected by the outage since 06.51 on Tuesday morning. Tweakers and Gathering of Tweakers are unreachable due to this malfunction, as are certain government services such as the CoronaCheck and CoronaTest website. Streams from Twitch are also not viewable, customers report on T-Mobiles forum. Incidentally, not all customers say they are affected by the outage.

The provider says it is working on the malfunction. It’s not clear what exactly is going on. The failure appears to be due to the NaWas connection between T-Mobile and NBIP. Some users can see Tweakers via T-Mobile Home, but that is because Tweakers can be reached via two addresses, explains Tweakers server administrator Kees Hoekzema from. Users who do see Tweakers are probably connected via Tweakers’ fall-back data center.

On Monday T-Mobile Home customers also suffered of a malfunction; this one was more severe and caused TV to not work and more sites to be unreachable. Sites and services such as Slack, NOS and Netflix could not be used at the time. At 10.45 am this outage was resolved ‘due to adjustments in the network’. Customers with a T-Mobile mobile connection were not affected by both T-Mobile Home outages.
