Szymon Marciniak will referee Real Madrid-Chelsea

It will be the fifth time that the Polish referee has directed a match for our team.

Szymon Marciniak will referee the match between the real Madrid and Chelsea in the Santiago Bernabeucorresponding to the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League (Tuesday, 9:00 p.m.; Movistar Champions League). The Pole will take charge of a match for the Madrid team for the fifth time in this competition. The last occasion was in the Group Stage this season, against Sheriff Tiraspol away from home (0-3).

The first took place against Roma in the Santiago Bernabeuin the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions 2015/16. The following season he directed the real Madrid-Borussia Dortmund, corresponding to the sixth day of the Group Phase of the competition. And he refereed again at the Madridista stadium in 2017/18 against Tottenham on matchday three of the Group Phase. Apart from the Champions, Marciniak also directed the final of the European Super Cup of Real Madrid against Atlético in 2018/19.
