Sebastian Szymański will not be available for Feyenoord in the coming weeks, the Rotterdam club reports. The attacking midfielder sustained an injury to his knee in the away match against FC Twente.
Szymański had to be substituted at halftime due to the injury. Trainer Arne Slot chose Quinten Timber as his replacement in Enschede. Szymański therefore misses next Sunday’s top match against PSV in De Kuip.
The cup match against NEC also comes too early for Szymański. It is not clear whether the Pole can make minutes again against AZ in De Kuip on Saturday 18 February. The Polish international has seven goals and five assists in 24 games this season.
