Even worse than Szoboszlai, goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi, who scored five goals, received a rating of four:
The captain could not help his team. Almost every dangerous Bavarian shot turned into a goal. It’s lucky that Sadio Mané scored twice from offside, otherwise he would have scored more goals. After conceding so many goals, you can’t be confident before the start of the season.
Willi Orbán received a grade of 3.5, they wrote the most positively about him, saying that he tried to be the boss in defense as usual, but even he did not show his balanced form. He was blamed for making a mistake on Benjamin Pavard’s goal and not being able to sort out the Leipzig defense.
By the way, the paper was not only critical of Hungarians. The worst grade (5) went to Germany’s Lukas Klostermann, who was described as playing as if he had attended a professional football match for the first time in his life. Next to him, the Swedish star Emil Forsberg and the Slovenian national team midfielder Kevin Kampl were seen as the worst players in Leipzig (both were rated 4.5),
and Szoboszlai’s rival, the Spaniard Dani Olmo (2), was adjudged the best.
