The Szentendre Skanzen awaits visitors with wines from artisanal wineries, goose dishes, lantern parades, crafts and concerts at the Szent Márton New Wine Festival and Libator all weekend long.
According to the Thursday announcement of the Szentendre Open-Air Ethnographic Museum, the Lajta Folk Dance Ensemble from Mosonmagyaróvár will revive the atmosphere of the St. Martin’s Day festivities in the museum. Visitors can glimpse the atmosphere of autumn social activities, get to know the life of Saint Martin, and learn interesting facts about the origin of the goose cult.
The program is enriched by the St. Martin’s Day performance by the Langaléta Garaboncians, there will be storytelling, a historical-literary wine workshop, and a fair of autumn delicacies and handicrafts.
Goose dishes await visitors in the Skanzen Restaurant, but those who want to prepare their own St. Martin’s Day delicacies can also take part in the cooking workshop in the Skanzen, the announcement emphasizes.
In the craft sessions, children can make lanterns for the St. Martin’s Day parade in addition to textile and straw bunting, gourds, and fire enamel jewelry.
On the stage of Skanzen Vigadó, among others, the traveling musician László Gulyás will perform, the Makám Együttes and the Montanaro Duo will perform, as well as the Dresch Vonósok, the Sarjú Banda and the Tatai Szarkalábak.
The gates and houses of the museum are open until 4 p.m., the Skanzen Vigadó and the craft fair until 6 p.m. The all-day program series ends on both days with an autumn farewell concert and dance hall, MTI announced.
