musicThe full list of nominations for the 66th annual Grammy Awards has been released, with a notable number of women this year. SZA (34) has the best chance of winning a prize at the upcoming awards ceremony. The American singer has been nominated no fewer than nine times.
The nominees for the annual Grammy Awards were announced on Friday. Many female artists can count on a nomination for the 66th edition. The nominations of ‘Kill Bill’ singer SZA even reach nine times. Other women are also doing well with seven nominations, including Phoebe Bridgers and Victoria Monét. Six times for Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. The latter brings her career total to 52 nominations. She has won 12 statuettes so far.
SZA, Swift, Cyrus and Rodrigo, along with singer Jon Batiste, are all nominated in the three biggest and most important categories: ‘Album’, ‘Record’ and ‘Song of the Year’. Women’s trio Boygenius, Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey have a chance to win two of these prizes.
The following artists’ albums have been nominated in the ‘Album of the Year’ category:

‘Record of the Year’ also shows many similarities:

Record of the Year focuses on the specific recording of a song and recognizes the artists, producers and engineers who contributed to that recording. While ‘Song of the Year’ is about the composition of a song and it recognizes the songwriters who wrote the song.
It’s clear that women are at the top of the music world right now. Batiste is the only male artist with six nominations or more, while nine female artists match him.
Beyoncé
At the last awards ceremony in February, Beyoncé was the big winner with four prizes. However, the most important categories went to colleagues. Harry Styles won ‘Album of the Year’, Bonnie Raitt ‘Song of the Year’ and Lizzo ‘Record of the Year’. Beyoncé set a record with the addition of four statues to her trophy case. The singer is now the artist with the most Grammys ever: 32.
The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Three new prizes have been added this year. The ‘best alternative jazz album’, ‘best pop dance recording’ and ‘best African musical performance’ are now also being awarded.
