The SYZ Group strengthens its board of directors with the appointment of private equity specialist Marlene Nørgaard Carolus.

With extensive professional investment experience, Marlene Nørgaard Carolus will defend the interests of shareholders as well as those of clients in the Nordic region. She succeeds Casper Kirk Johansen, Danish entrepreneur and member of the board of directors since 2015.

Marlene Nørgaard Carolus will contribute to implementing the commercial strategy of the Swiss “boutique” bank as it begins a new phase of growth after a year rich in transformations.

Marlene Nørgaard Carolus has just joined the ranking of the 100 most influential women in Denmark established by the prestigious Danish “Who’s Who”. His entrepreneurial spirit, his experience in innovation and business transformation in the fields of private management, investment banking, credit, risk management and compliance will be valuable assets for SYZ .

She has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry and has held various positions related to portfolio management, sales and business development in different markets.

Since 2004, she has sat on several boards of directors of financial companies, including that of Danske Bank International. She is also a non-executive member of the boards of several companies and non-profit organizations, such as ART 2030, a non-profit organization that links art to the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, or the Danish Commercial Foundation Olga & Esper Boels.

Marlene Nørgaard Carolus holds an Executive MBA from the Copenhagen Business School and graduated from training for leaders at Harvard University on improving the effectiveness of corporate boards. In 2019, she also completed a masterclass on the management of the boards of directors of the Copenhagen Business School.

She is currently CEO of Mybanker, a Danish FinTech that helps Danish customers find banking services that meet their needs and benefit from better banking conditions, as well as better control of their finances.
