Ten months after the death of prisoner George Floyd, the lawsuit started this week against ex-police officer Derek Chauvin. He is suspected of murdering Floyd. The shocking images of Chauvin pressing his knee and full weight on Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes were the beginning of fierce protests against violence and “systematic racism” on the part of the police.
