The airplane left Spain for Cologne on Sunday evening. The plane never landed there, it also flew two times around Paris and Cologne, right before traveling in a straight line to the Baltic Sea.
NATO-enabled fighters
As no 1 on the aircraft answered multiple phone calls from various air traffic controllers, NATO warplanes had been alerted. To their horror, they saw no one in the cockpit. The airplane eventually crashed off the coast of Latvia.
There, a key look for operation was initiated, which was later converted into a rescue operation. Pieces of the airplane have therefore been located earlier, and now system components have also been taken off from the sea. The stays ended up handed more than to the Latvian law enforcement for additional investigation.
