Specifically, the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, tried to terrify the citizens, stating in his interview on “Talk 98.9” (17.4.24) that: “many things are judged in the European elections. One of the things being judged is political stability. […] New Democracy will have a parliamentary majority on June 10, regardless of the result. However, governability, whether the government will be able to implement its policy or whether we will have major political disturbances, will be decided on June 9.”
In fact, when the journalist pointed out fear as a means of manipulating the people, the Minister of Health relentlessly insisted on fear-mongering, saying “that this is the truth. Messages are not free. And sending sms from our mobile phone has a cost. Everything in our life has a cost.”
The fear of political instability was invoked in another interview, on the TV station SKAI (17.4.24).
