“SYRIZA – PA requests that all the necessary pressure be exerted for peace and ceasefire, return of hostages, resumption of negotiations on the basis of UN decisions, reconstruction of Gaza, recognition of the state of Palestine” it states.

“For months we have been asking for a ceasefire in the Middle East, respect for International Law and UN resolutions for the Middle East, recognition of the Palestinian state.
The European leadership, the US and the Greek government have shown particular tolerance for the crimes committed during Israel’s genocidal invasion of Gaza and for the dangerous generalization of the war. In his speech at the UN, Kyriakos Mitsotakis did not say half a word about what is happening in our wider region.
Now the tension is being transferred with the responsibility of Israel to Lebanon with the danger of igniting the wider region being visible.
