SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance gives its own response to what was reported by “government sources”, commenting on the post of the official opposition leader Stefanos Kasselakis about the fires and the absorption of the Recovery Fund.
Initially, Koumoundourou emphasizes that Vassilis Kikilias should have been removed from the position of Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.
“Let’s start with the basics. V. Kikilias is still a minister when, on the basis of his own Civil Protection plan, a forest fire reached enormous proportions and hit urban areas in Attica” they note.
SYRIZA notes that the government has not given substantial answers to the official opposition regarding the causes of this disaster. “All words and style and nothing of concrete elements” they say.
At the same time, they point out that the government does not give official answers, but uses “government sources”, wanting to add toxicity to the political confrontation and use derogatory expressions for the official opposition leader, with the aim of distorting reality.
“A logical “arena” for the disorientation of the debate, when the Greek people are entitled to full information” adds the announcement of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance and adds that “I wish with the same fervor and efficiency that it would have prevented the spread of the fire. Perhaps many houses and properties would have been saved.”
