The independence of Yannis Sarakiotis from SYRIZA is only a matter of time, as the meeting held with the newly elected president of the party, Sokratis Famellos, did not prove to be able to remove the concerns of the MP Fthiotidas, who appears disappointed about what happened in the multiwave congress.
At the meeting Mr. Famellos allegedly asked him to clarify if he has a personal problem with him, which Mr. Sarakiotis refused. The names of other party officials seem to have fallen on the table, with MP Fthiotidas clarifying that the issue is not personal and underlining that “what happened I cannot serve and “lift” it”.
According to the information, Mr. Sarakiotis does not intend to join any party (at least immediately), while he clarifies to his interlocutors about the joint presence with Stefanos Kasselakis at the anniversary events in Gorgopotapos that “I would do the same for S. Famello. He visited my constituency and I welcomed him to introduce him to local actors.”
According to the same information, his independence from the KO of SYRIZA will take place on Thursday morning, which will result in Koumundourou now having 28 MPs, since Mr. Sarakiotis will become the seventh MP to leave after the Gazi Live conference.
