From 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning until 7:00 p.m., voters go to the polls for the process of electing the president of SYRIZA-PS.
Candidates, in alphabetical order, are Apostolos Gletsos, Pavlos Polakis, Sokratis Famellos, Nikolas Farandouris. If necessary there will be a repeat round next Sunday, December 1st.
According to an announcement by Koumoundourou, SYRIZA-PS is fully prepared ahead of the presidential election process on Sunday, November 24. In the previous days, he says, two informative teleconferences were held with the Electoral Commissions from across the country regarding the election process.
Specifically, voting in the 465 polling stations will begin at 8 am. and will end at 7 p.m.
A bet for Koumoundourou is the high participation of citizens in the polls, at a time when SYRIZA is no longer the official opposition and the former president of the party, Stefanos Kasselakis, has officially announced the “Democracy Movement” since yesterday Saturday.
“With their massive participation in the ballot box of the presidential election, the left-wing, progressive citizens will give the most resounding response to those who strike plans to break up SYRIZA […] We call on every left-wing, progressive, democratic citizen, the world of SYRIZA who supported the party in various periods, the world of the left, the center-left and the progressive center, to participate en masse and actively in the polls…”, said a related announcement of the party, among other things , inviting the friends of the party to mass participation in the elections.
