Persefoni Polakis, daughter of Pavlos Polakis, responds to reports about her participation in the Extraordinary Congress of SYRIZA. She accuses the office of Stefanos Kasselakis of “baseless statements and leaks” and explains that she was the first runner-up and another female delegate was canceled because she was not registered on the membership register.
Persephone Polaki’s answer:
“I consider that I must publicly respond to the baseless statements and leaks of Mr. Kasselakis’ office that I participated irregularly in the extraordinary Congress of members of the SYRIZA PS.
Initially, just a day before the conference I was informed that I would be a delegate to it. As I was informed, one of the women who collected more votes than me was not registered in the register of members of SYRIZA PS, nor was she identified by isyriza, necessary conditions to be elected a delegate. So this position had to be filled by the first female runner-up in OM Moschato, which was me. I participated in the conference online, connecting to zoom which was broadcasting it live. I voted like everyone else via the link sent to my mobile phone.
The sending of my personal email as a “leak” to the country’s media by Mr. Kasselakis’ office constitutes a clear violation of my personal rights (which I reserve). Honesty in the house I grew up in is a way of life, but it probably seems like an unfamiliar concept to those who had (and have?) offshore companies.
