SYRIZA: “Orange card” to Petros Pappas – “You reform or you are deleted from KO” –

Koumoundourou is particularly displeased with the statements of the Kilkis MP, Petro Pappa.

For this reason, after his statement about the soldier who attended a KNE event, the president of the KO of SYRIZA, Nikos Pappas, called him to his office in the Parliament asking him to immediately revise what he said. At the same time, he asked him to say publicly that he is bound by the party’s positions on the rights of conscripts. Rep. Kilkis said in the one-on-one meeting that he would rebuild.

Nikos Pappa’s sources noted that the glass overflowed with the MP’s statement about the hoplite.

As the same sources explain, the MP was given an “orange card” and not just a yellow one. When asked by Vima if there is a possibility of deletion from the KO of SYRIZA, the answer was that “it is on the table” in case it does not reform.

For his part, MP Kilkis states that “my positions on the rights of soldiers were and are identical to those of SYRIZA. My criticism was about the content of the speech, since he appeared as a representative of the conscripted youth, and not about the right of the soldier to participate in the protest.”

There had been other statements by the MP in the past that had caused discomfort. Like, for example, those concerning private universities, Orthodox Jews, but also the fact that SYRIZA is not an official opposition, as long as Stefanos Kasselakis is president.
