SYRIZA: “Nothing shocking happened in PaSoK” – What do they say about Androulakis? –

If reality doesn’t agree with you so much the worse for reality. This phrase seems to dominate SYRIZA after the PaSoK presidential elections.

In the ranks of the party’s central executives, the opinion prevails that nothing shocking happened in PASOK and therefore SYRIZA has nothing to fear. Except that they forget in SYRIZA, that the party has been producing toxicity, hostility and introversion for a year or so, while also emitting a miserable image.

The re-election of Nikos Androulakis to the leadership of PaSoK did not shake them, as they say, but in private discussions it is clear that they are concerned about what will happen from here on and especially if the once ruling party succeeds in repatriating voters who had moved to SYRIZA .

The analysis made by most people in SYRIZA is shallow and begins and ends with the following three points: a) a huge wave of voters did not vote and therefore does not create momentum, b) the leadership did not change and therefore N. Androulakis is predictable and c ) PaSoK is a bourgeois party that does not move left-wing voters.

Myopic vision

This is a short-sighted perspective that ignores how the average PASoK voter thinks and especially how the small and medium-sized executives who moved to SYRIZA and comfortably return move. Moreover, the collapse of SYRIZA in the polls and the ridiculous things that are being recorded reinforce the wave of returns.

In essence, SYRIZA and its central executives believe that PASOK will not create a particular problem for them as long as they themselves quickly resolve their internal issues, close the chapter on introversion with the election of a new president, while the current majority say that the exclusion of Stefanos Kasselakis from the elections can work positively to bring people back.

Of course, there is an issue with many who were expecting another development in the PASOK and now see whatever plans they were discussing for a united progressive front burning down and it remains to be seen how they will move. However, the pressure from PaSoK is considered a given and most people do not deny it, but they believe that after the election of the president they will be able to control the situation and above all to reduce the leaks.
