The issue of leadership was raised by Pavlos Polakis during the meeting of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA, at noon on Thursday.

In his speech, the MP from Chania of SYRIZA said that “with the current situation in the party, we cannot proceed with a serious claim for a major governmental change. We produce a lot more parapolitical material than political line.”
Furthermore, he emphasized that “we must go beyond the ethics of behavior and the theorization of aloof ideologies on every scientist and on any right, we must move to a clear political line to bring down the Mitsotakis government”.
And on this wavelength, he underlined that “we need a program popularly understood, socially necessary, in conflict with the intertwining that brings hope to the new generation”. “Unfortunately, our current leadership cannot ensure this. That is why big changes are needed and soon. And as far as I’m concerned I’ll do my best for it.” P. Polakis reportedly said.
For the party’s Media, as he said, “in addition to the necessary consolidation situation, any proposal must be combined with a change in their content, both at the level of political line and at the level of production of a television program that will be shown by a series of regional stations, which will also be able to bring in advertising revenue for the sustainability of the media.’
Also, regarding the issue with Athina Linou, he underlined that “for any member of the ND, we had revealed such things, as we revealed about Linou, we would have asked for his deletion. And from the KO of the ND and from a member of the party”.
Responding to Olga Gerovasilis, he said that “he used Social Media in order to be able to resist an operation of his own murder that through a fake and hypocritical cry of Linos, which happened an hour after I had spoken, and at the same time I was removed from the Parliament Group”.
“Of course I resisted through Social media. That’s why everyone had second thoughts, like Olga Gerovasili who said that the deletion of Polakis is good, but it should be completed, not left half-finished. This is a declaration of introversion and civil and cannibalism”, said P. Polakis.
