Sokratis Famellos does not only have his election campaign in mind. Claiming the leadership presupposes that there will be a united SYRIZA the next day and that is why from western Greece who continues his tour – on Wednesday (6/11) he was in Corfu, he took the initiative to request a meeting of all presidential candidates with the consent of the Political Secretariat.
According to information, the deputy of Thessaloniki 2 contacted the secretary Rania Svigou and asked her to convey to the members of the body who were meeting in the afternoon the proposal for an official appointment with Pavlos Polakis, Nikolas Farandouris and Apostolos Gletsos. This will be attended by both herself and the president of KO, Nikos Pappas and the head of the Eurogroup, Costas Arvanitis.
As explained by colleagues of Mr. Famellos, he submitted this request with the aim, on the one hand, “to declare the unity and protection of the party against the attack it receives” and, on the other hand, “to find a way out that we will all serve together in continuity”.
