Apostolos Gletsos announced his candidacy for the presidency of SYRIZA PS, declaring on the sidelines of the party’s Central Committee meeting that he has collected and submitted 32 signatures (at least 30 are required).
He said that he is excited to speak for the first time in the KE and stressed, when asked about his candidacy, that “the bet is on the first Sunday to bring people to the ballot box”. “Let’s say that we are here, that we are the proud governing left, that we will again claim for the world the great majority of the world – who sat a little outside with their rights and did not come to the polling booth to vote – that we are here, we have take whatever lessons we were supposed to take, we will speak politically according to the new data of the grim reality and we will claim the vote of the Greeks against a government that rules with the Predator”.
As he mentioned in a conversation with journalists, his petition is ready – since as an elected member of the TA he submits it every year – and he will immediately submit it formally to the party’s competent bodies.
