SYRIZA brings to Parliament the shocking audio revealed by Documento about the crime of Tempe –

Topical Question on the occasion of Documento’s disclosure of the chilling audio from the calls to 112 of the Tempe crime victims who died not from the collision, but from the subsequent fire, testified to the Minister of Transport, Giorgos Karameros.

On the occasion of the publication of the newspaper, the parliamentary representative and head of the Transport and Infrastructure sector of SYRIZA underlined that the conditions of the spread of the fire, as reflected in the transcript of the National Coordination Center for Crisis Management (ESKEDIK), testify based on the reports of experts to the presence of hydrocarbons in the event, as no combustible material was present in the construction trains does not justify the extent of oxygen deprivation that the 112 automated conversations testify to.

“The government must assume its responsibilities and answer directly if it used the available audio and for what reason it ruled out the presence of flammable materials in the wagons, as well as what was the content of the commercial train 63503 and the principal-owner of the cargo” he notes and he concludes by saying, “Government cannot hide from the truth.”

Regarding the questions to Christos Staikouras, Mr. Karameros requests explanations for the following:

1. How did the public authorities investigating the accident use the audio data included in the ESKEDIK transcripts and why was the presence of flammable materials, other than those found in the train’s construction materials, which may have caused the explosion in the Tempe accident, ruled out?

2. What was the actual chemical cargo of commercial train 63503 and the consignee-owner of the cargo?
